Summer 2011 Update
Summer, don't you just love it? Graduations, reunions, vacations, and the triple digit tempatures. It's HOT in the central valley. June was a busy month with a family reunion and graduation party at my home.
I must say again, although the 7MWIN vision is the same, the manner and timing in which we are moving is NOT how I expected. Just like a living organism that is ever changing, so are we. It seems the Lord is expanding our ministry tentpegs and assignments . Here are the highlights:
Fresno H.O.P.E.- We moved our furniture out of the prayer room in downtown Fresno. I am grateful for the many times we met for prayer there, and I'd like to thank Saundra K for allowing us to be there. The building was recently sold and although many have had visions of a 24/7 prayer room on the top floor, perhaps that is for another season.
We continue to meet once a month (1st Sat. 10-noon) for Healing Prayer Ministry. God is doing amazing things there, and we will post testimonies on thew website.
Our tentpegs are expanding in the state. A few of us traveled to L.A. region twice in July. We joined several other ministries on 7/09 in Northridge and Hollywood. The first session we heard from several ministires of what God is doing in the L.A region. It was wonderful time of unity. Then we headed to Holly wood to prayer walk joining others from Hollywood Prayer Network. Later that evening we heard from Karen C from HPN about what God is doing in the entertainment mountain. Sid Roth was also a guest speaker.
The following week we went to PIHOP (Pasadena House of Prayer) for a gathering of CA HOP leaders. This was the first gathering of HOP leaders, and over 20 HOPS were represented. The pillars of fire are growing in the state. We have those HOPS listed on our website. It was wonderful to hear what God is doing in the different HOPS. A strong message was given to us though about being houses of 'refuge', and Sean M. from Crises Response International spoke to us about having team members being trained for Crises response. When crises/disaster happens, will we be ready to respond? The message was not of doom or gloom but of HOPE, being people of HOPE and being PREPAREd for when crises happens (i.e. food storage, etc.). I will share more about this later.
7 Mountian W.I.N.- We had a wonderful time gathering in May and July. I will write about this at a later date.
Blogs: We added a book review and new authors to our blogs. The Deborah company is going through a book called "Unto Full Stature', written in 1964. If you love reading Bill Johnson or Graham Cookes books, you'd love this one. One of the gals will be writing a brief review of this book.
Prayer Request:
Finacials/Funding/Facilities to continue to do all God has called us to. Since we are not a traditional 'church' that receives 'tithes', our funds are limited. We would love to see this increase. We are praying for 100 donors of $50 each per month. As a non profit we still have office/insurance, etc. expenses.
We'd love to able to bless team members, like church staffs are paid (pastor, worship leaders, etc.) and we still hope to have a physical 'A.R.C." Activities Resource Center near CSUF, for worship/prayer, classes, and an office. We are looking for those businesses who'd like to invest in youth especially and see this happen. Please pray about being a regular financial partner. You can send your tax deductibel donation to: P.O. Box 25266 Fresno, CA.
We are also praying for more volunteers and resources. Need:
Administrative help (making flyers, email, data search, phone calls, web design, etc.) committed to 2-5 hours a week.
Need: Copy machine.
Worship/Prayer Leaders (we've had many come and go), we'd love to add more to the TEAM.
Blessings to you all, and THank you for all who do serve and are part of this H.O.P.E. team.
