I just read Bill Younts recent article on Elijah List about the next generation of Firebrands…going into the marketplace. I say, “Yes and amen”.  I see it as well.

I have many passions, and one of them is helping the next generation take the mountains. What do I mean by that?  I want to especially see this next generation of Kingdom Christ followers take mountains of influence in government, education, business, entertainment, and communication.

 My generation basically left those mountains, actually I think we left 6 of them and ran to the ‘church’ mountain. We were told, ‘stay away from Hollywood, it’s evil;  stay away from government- it’s corrupt; stay away from business, people are greedy and the love of money is evil, don’t send your kids to public school, as it ‘is evil’…so as a result..many of us stayed away…and now what’s happening? We’re upset because we do not have a VOICE in those places. 

Now I know not everyone stayed away…thank God for ministries who didn’t, but many did.   I’m telling my own children and spiritual sons and daughters, if God calls you to those places..GO FOR IT! Be a KINGDOM VOICE…. Be LIGHT in DARKNESS… be SALT in a dry barren and broken land. Do not be afraid. for yours is the Kingdom of God . And I’m going to do all I can to encourage and support you as you prepare. 

So  if you are young…and are thinking about becoming an actor, a politician, a lawyer,  a doctor…do not think it as unspiritual.  Go for it, be the best, Take and Occupy the mountains!
