I was sad when I recently about  a pastor who took his life he had been suffering from severe depression for a while.   I know  those in the Body of Christ who are bi-polar or have dissociative disorders. Many in the Body of Christ are suffering emotional pain and not only may need counseling, but need inner and physical healing- a touch by God. Now I"m not saying it is the only way to get help, but it can be another way God wants to heal someone. I"ve been through inner healing myself, and have times of check ups. I heard a pastor from a large thriving church in L.A. once say..when the hire staff, they not only look for character but wholeness. They have their leadership staff go through some type of inner healing. 

We humans are three part beings, SPIRIT, BODY and SOUL and our soul is three parts (emotions, will and mind). I want to talk about the soul, and the healing of emotions-a taboo, not talked about much in local congregations. Maybe it’s because we don’t know how to deal with it, I don’t know, but the Body of Christ needs healing.  I see and meet many who are broken and not living in the fullness of Christ. Many are kept from moving forward into their destiny because of wrong thinking, hurts, and pains. Many  need ‘inner healing’ beyond counseling.

 Inner healing is not counseling. Inner healing deals with the deeper roots and causes of emotional pain, whether it be rejection, or depression. There are many methods used in various ministries, for example, twenty years ago I went through training through Elijah House ministries.   Cleansing Streams, Restoring the Foundations or Sozo are a few types of inner healing ministries. Wounds need to be healed and bondages need to be delivered. Jesus did both. Often spirits of oppression will harass a believer in many different ways…by having open access through roots of bitterness, and anger. Some may need deliverance. I’m not about to write a whole article about deliverance here, but it is simple…if you need inner healing and/or deliverance, please get it.

There are local inner healing and deliverance ministries.  I actually would love every congregation  would offer some sort of healing ministry, inner healing or physical healing. We need it.
