What an incredible month it has been. As February comes to aclose, and my birthday right around the corner, I look forward to the NEW Godis going to do. Even in times of discouragement (not often), when the thoughtcomes that says, “Why in the world are you doing this? Is anything reallyhappening?”...I am then encouraged when I read or hear about an answeredprayer. .I'm reminded over and over again, of the power of prayer and HOPE.
Fresno HOPE: Houses of Prayer and POWER not only EVERYWHERE..but everywhere EVANGELISM . That is my heart cry. That leaders (marketplace ministers) learn to pray (develop intimacy with God) and lives are transformed. I pray, God bring transformation through power and prayer evangelism...touch lives on campuses, businesses and city hall, wherever we go.
So here are some things that happened this month, just to name a few.
- As we were prayer walking at CSUF we ran into a friend of mine, who is also a seasoned warrior...and now a full time student. As we listened to her story about some of the things (deceptions) being taught and spoken in the classrooms, I realized again, we so need to pray for wisdom and discernment for the Body of Christ Long story short-..we were able to encourage and pray over this weary student and give HOPE once again. Prayer on both FCC and CSUF campuses.
- Two prayer assignments over land, sounding the shofar, prayer to cleanse the land and for God to accomplish His will and purposes for it.
- Prayer Conference Calls -with Pray Cal Connect on Wednesday afternoons, lifting up our state, addressing the Prop.8 case, encouraging the intercessors, praying for revival on campuses , February 25th, joined others from around the state for 24 hours of prayer for colleges/universities on National Collegiate Prayer Day. Prayer with intercessors from around the country, joining many groups and conf. calls preparing for Sacred Regional Assembly.
- Worship and prayer with kingdom living groups.
- Continued stealth prayer at city hall on some Thursday mornings. What an eye opener each one is!
- We started prayer in a conference room near Joni and Friends ministry, and that has been a delight. We meet 2nd/4th Wed. 2-3 pm. If you are a local church, and do not have a disability ministry, please give them a call to get one started.
- soon to start prayer at a local cafe', I”ll be bringing my sign in for walk-in ‘Free Prayer’. We are also looking for a place to have prayer for educators on Tuesday afternoons 4-5 pm.
- Although I get many prayer request via email, I find it best when we are actually meet at a place for focused intercession or healing prayer. Although I get many opportunities to join intercessors in the state (i.e. Border school Leaders institute, Prayer for educators in Sac.next month, etc.) I am careful to always ask Abba my assignment. This is why I like team…so we can send others out to stand on the wall. If you’d like to see where we are, check out www.fresnohouseofprayer.
CCC- Community,Compassion and Celebration:-A decentralized ‘church’
- Community/Connecting – It has been a wonderful time gathering with other believers as we build authentic relationships, encourage and pray for one another. When I was in one of my ‘whiny’ moments lately, I was reminded by the Lord, this new wineskin, was the church ‘decentralized’. We do what many do on Sunday mornings (teach, worship and hopefully pray), however, we do this not all on Sunday but during the week at different locations J We are not led or taught by the senior pastor, but taught by individuals with different leadership gifts (teachers, pastors, and even apostles). The Kingdom Messengers (writers/speakers) group continues to meet. It has been so fun to see the growth in all of us. We encourage one another and pray for each other. Another group is the “Daniel Company’- ladies coming together to dig deeper and seek the Lord as He unfolds hidden riches and releases destiny.
- Celebration- I’ve been meeting with a group of young warriors who are passionate in seeking the Lord and His presence. We are hoping to join forces and start worship/fellowship nights once a month. Please pray about this..we are asking the Lord for a central location, large enough to accommodate us and that has a fellowship hall so we can eat together.
7 Mountain InternationalSchool of Ministry and Leadership Institute:
- I just love teaching! We started a cohort for ‘lady leaders’, young women of God whom God has called to be leaders. The class focuses on ‘transformational leadership. As God opens the doors we hope to teach more classes. Please take a look at the list of classes for 7M International School of Ministry, and if your local fellowship or youth group would like to have us in, please give us a call.
Networks:
- We had a wonderful time of sharing at CV Healing/Deliverance Ministry network. Many of us heard about Kingdom ministries from George F. To my surprise, (I only thought they did healing/deliverance prayer ministry), they are also instructing many churches, groups about spiritual warfare. I hope we can set something up with them soon for a class. George and others teach at the many YWAM bases, it’s time the local churches invite them in. (check out latest blog about inner healing).
- CV Prayer Roundtable – will meet next month, March 18th, 4-6 pm.
So that’s it in a nutshell..there is so much more to share..but time and space are limited J And if you think of us..our prayer request are:
· Leadership team..I know there are more coming…thoseapostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, pastors..who are still to be added, those with similar DNA (vision, call) and are called to this vision God has given.
· Rent free or very lowcost facilities for Friday night worship, fellowship and a place to have classes during the week..Anyone have a place to let us use for very low cost or free? 3000-5000 sq. ft.preferred. Provision to maintain it.
· Prayer for our family finances or a ‘paid’ job, or the sale of our land. Praise report..We experience the miracle of provision monthly, even though I’m not bringing in an income, God still provides. Many times I’veconsidered just stopping the ministry, but the Lord has not allowed me to. I guess what I need is the gift of ‘raising support’. I have applied for jobs, and the doors remain shut. I apologize if it sounds whining, but I feel I need to be let you know the need. Please pray for provision for our children’s education and meeting our expenses, two children are looking for funding for their college for next several years. Three will be in college in 2011.
· Wisdom as I/we step into future business possibilities the Lord has given. Finishing the editing process of my book and getting it to print. I really feel it’s long overdue.
